Soundproof doors for cultural centre De Klinker
Several cultural institutions are brought together under one roof at the cultural centre De Klinker in Winschoten (The Netherlands), designed by atelier PRO architects. The facility houses a theatre, library, school for the performing arts, a local broadcaster, cinema and a catering establishment.
In the architect’s words:
According to the designers the building fits in with the surrounding buildings but stands out due to its subtle details. “Due to its horizontal sections, round elements, overhangs and unique brick details, which are reminiscent of Groningen expressionism, the Cultuurhuis exudes a powerful identity as a new source of pride for the city,” exclaims atelier PRO.

Soundproof theatre doors
The soundproof theatre doors had to be inconspicuous. Alara-Lukagro engineered and produced the soundproof doors in accordance with the customer’s requirements. Once installed, the outside of the doors were cladded in wood so that they blend seamlessly with the wall. The doors also have a high sound insulation value and are fire resistant, which means they fully satisfy both aesthetic and functional requirements.
