Sound attenuated ventilation for emergency power at a data centre
Emergency power is vital for data centres. Alara-Lukagro supplied sound attenuated ventilation sets for emergency power supplies for a data centre. Adequate combustion air, cooling air and reliable air extraction were combined with a high soundproof level.
Total solution
The supplier of the emergency power sets approached Alara-Lukagro for the design, engineering and production of 19 sound attenuated ventilation units for the cooling and combustion air of the emergency power engines. Alara-Lukagro was also responsible for the entire exhaust system for the flue gas outlet. The ventilation sets were supplied including ductwork, plenums, splitters, silencers, louvres, outlet pipes, ventilators and frames.
Alara-Lukagro was also responsible for assembling the products on location. A modular structure was chosen to ensure the assembly was as efficient as possible. As a result the individual components were put together as completely as possible in Alara-Lukagro’s production facility, after which they could be quickly assembled on location.
Great end result
The supplier of the emergency power sets was totally satisfied with the result. All 19 sound attenuated ventilation units are performing entirely as expected. In addition the quality of the work and expertise of the Alara-Lukagro employees who worked on the project was greatly appreciated. Everything was supplied and installed in accordance with the desired quality requirements.
