Large sliding door for Amphion
In 2010 the new building of Amphion Theatre is opened. Aan de Stegge Bouw & Werktuigbouw bv awarded the production and delivering of a large sliding door for this building to Alara-Lukagro.
Turn-key solution
Amphion Theatre in Doetinchem is designed by Mecanoo architects. For access to the loading / unloading platform, Alara-Lukagro installed a large sliding door with size W x H = 14.100 x 4.300 mm at the outside of the building. The calculation, drawing, production and delivering is completely (turn-key) in-company executed.
Soundproof and inclined position
Due to the large size, inclined position of 7°, functionality, as well as the soundproof standard of Rw = 35 dB(A), the final execution is established in close consultation with contractor Aan de Stegge Bouw & Werktuigbouw bv and acoustic advise agency Lichtveld Buis & Partners. From a architectural point of view, an aluminium cowling in RAL 9006 is added, which resulted in a total weight of the door of ca. 5000 kg.
