Escape doors for the A4 Delft - Schiedam motorway
The A4all consortium constructed the A4 between Delft and Schiedam. A4all awarded the contract for supplying and installing the acoustic escape doors for the sound barriers along the A4 Delft – Schiedam to Alara-Lukagro.

Escape doors’ design
Extra high doors were produced: W x H = 1,280 x 3,060 mm. The fitting was selected so that there is always free access from the motorway and on the residential side the doors can only be opened using a special key designed for this purpose.
Quick assembly
Alara-Lukagro supplied the acoustic escape doors as a total package, including the design, engineering, production, wet paint preservation treatment and installation.
The escape doors can be installed in a short space of time. Alara-Lukagro aligns the steel door frame with that of the acoustic barrier. This means it is just a question of installing and screwing the door into the barrier’s steel construction. What’s more the escape doors are basically maintenance-free, but if required, can be supplied with an anti-graffiti coating.
