Anyone who has ever been to a Center Parcs holiday resort is familiar with the names “Market Dome” and “Aqua Mundo”. The Market Dome is the often centrally located indoor shopping center where you can go for a snack, a drink and the daily groceries. Aqua Mundo is the subtropical swimming paradise. In De Vossermeren resort you will find here, among other things, a white water course, whirlpools, a sauna and various slides.

Combined heat and power (CHP)

To heat and provide energy for the Market Dome and the subtropical swimming pool of Center Parcs De Vossemeren, it was decided to install a combined heat and power unit (CHP). With the CHP, heat and power are produced in a sustainable and efficient way and the CO2 footprint is reduced.

Enclosure with ventilation for CHP

For this cogeneration installation with gas engine, we calculated and supplied the acoustic parts, including the enclosure and the entire ventilation set.

The enclosure with a size of 12.0 (l) x 3.4 (w) x 3.3 (h) meters and the ventilation are designed by us for a noise level of Lp (A) = 45 dB (A) @ 10 meters. All doors in the enclosure are equipped with a panic function. In addition, the housing has an extra compartment for the E-installation. The cooling of the CHP is set at a ΔT of 10 degrees, with the air inlet and outlet located on the roof. In order to be able to bear the extra load on the roof (including the cooler), the housing is provided with a an extra heavy construction. For service purposes, the enclosure is equipped with a removable wall.

In addition to supplying the enclosure and ventilation, Alara-Lukagro also provided the acoustic calculations, engineering, production, delivery and assembly.
