Housing project Buiksloterham

In Amsterdam-Noord, the housing association Ymere and contractor HSB Bouw are jointly building a complex with rental homes for social housing. In addition, a new regional office of the housing association will also be located in the building.

Partly due to this project, the former business park “Buiksloterham” is transforming into a circular urban district focused on living and working. The supply for people with a modest income in Amsterdam is increasing due to these new homes, which eases the pressure on the housing market.

Social rental housing

“Lot 4a” will be provided with 93 social rental homes of 25 to 50 m2 that are suitable for a certain phase in everyone’s living career. Of the 93 homes, 25 are rented out on the basis of 5-year temporary youth contracts. These homes are intended for young people who have not built up enough registration time. By offering these homes, the traffic flow is changed and the pressure on the housing market is corrected.

Construction of the project started in September 2020. The building is expected to be completed in mid-August 2021.

Acoustic louvres from Alara-Lukagro

The order consists the delivery of 54 acoustic louvres, type AL-R / 300V. These louvres have an Rw value of 19 dB and are fitted with bird netting and rain barrier. In addition, the louvres are provided with a duplex powder coating RAL 8000 (green-brown), so that the gratings blend in nicely with the facade in which they are used.

For this project Alara-Lukagro takes care of the Engineering, Production and Delivery of the grids.
