Acoustic louvres apartments Nijmegen
For apartment building Crevas, part of housing project Hart van de Waalsprong in Nijmegen, Jansen de Jong Bouw Oost has given Alara-Lukagro the order to deliver the acoustic louvres. The apartments where the louvres will be applied suffer from a high noise level on all floors, and consequently, without additional provisions, these homes will not comply with the requirements for a silent facade with adjoining bedroom.

Hart van de Waalsprong
Apartment building Crevas is part of housing project Hart van de Waalsprong, a completely new bustling and sustainable city district in Nijmegen that offers a mix of living, working, shopping, recreation, and meeting people.
The building has five floors with six apartments each. On the ground floor, health care and sports providers will be located. Apartment building Crevas is one of three buildings with a total of 119 highly energy efficient apartments in Hart van de Waalsprong.
To meet the requirements of the noise policy for a silent façade with adjoining bedroom, the layout of the homes is tailored to this. The bedroom is adjacent to the enclosed outdoor area and consists of a part that can be opened. The outdoor area itself is closed with a frame consisting of high-quality acoustic glazing. To realise sufficient ventilation capacity for the bedroom when the outdoor area is closed, the sound absorbing acoustic louvre (type AL-R/150) is applied.
Acoustic louvre
The measurements of the applied acoustic louvre AL-R/150 and the height between the louvre parts are adjusted to the needed blowdown ventilation in the bedroom taking into account the natural floating thermal force between outside area, loggia and bedroom. By applying this solution, a silent outdoor space and a silent façade are being realised providing sufficient blowdown ventilation for the adjacent bedroom. Thus giving substance to the noise policy of the municipality of Nijmegen.
The louvres with an air transit of approximately 40% are treated with a duplex powder coating in a RAL color chosen by the customer. In addition to producing the louvres for this project, Alara-Lukagro also provides the engineering, conservation, and delivery of these louvres.
